It's a damn good thing that I love my new house,
because we are NEVER. moving. again.
Ever.

p.s. How does one go about extracting a toy from within the depths of a toilet line? I'm gonna have to call a plumber, aren't I?

4. Except my toilet has been plugged for three days,
and the first three feet of the line appear to be clear.
:banghead:
I don't give a shit (no pun intended) about whatever toy must be in there, I just want to be able to pee downstairs.

2. Very glad to see you.
I was a little concerned something had happened - after everything that's happened! Glad to have you back.

I'm WITH you on the moving thing. The most torturous event. Ever.

18. Definitely! I'll let you know.
Nathaniel's taking Noel to a movie one evening, so I'll be just sitting around, then. If it isn't Wednesday, that would be perfect!

8. call a plumber
unless you own a heavy-duty drain snake - not one of the cheap ones either, might push it down the line, so to speak.

16. He's doing very well. He had to have an emergency root canal
last week, but that was small potatoes, relatively speaking. He went back to work and is tolerating it well, he just gets really, really tired by the end of the day. I'm hoping for some serious monotony, from here on out!

15. Wish I could say the same
my new apartment is OK, but I don't envision living there for the rest of my life...

of course, the thought of moving again, ever, sucks.

17. It totally sucks! We had a blizzard hit in the middle of moving.
We got feet of snow, and it was a huge freaking mess. We got completely snowed in for one day. I'm glad it's over!

19. my biggest gripe is
that nothing ever fits up stairwells and through doorways

When I build my own home, the stairwells will all be 3x the regular width, and each and every room will have double-doors.

22. Lol! I had very similar thoughts.
We had to move a big refrigerator, and there was significant doubt, initially, as to whether we would be able to get in the door. It fit, with the fridge door taken off, fortunately!

24. We had to leave a queen-size box spring behind in our last house
We had forgotten that the delivery guys couldn't get it up our stairs (seemingly wide enough but apparently not, with a turn). It was a log home and two upstairs bedrooms open to the downstairs, so we alley-ooped it over the railing. Later we filled in the openings to have more floor space in the bedrooms and to keep the damned TV sound from carrying upstairs. We forgot the box spring got up there before we did the construction. Sigh. I don't know how the new owners got it out--probably took an ax to it.

23. I'm glad you're back.
I'm sorry about the toy in the plumbing.

How long do you think it will take you to fully unpack? I can understand why you would never, ever want to move again. :)
