Why do good hearts break so easy?
I have found that you can tell a lot about a person by how easily their heart is broken.
And I wonder
Is it because to have your heart broken you have to offer it up selflessly and hope for the best?

And those with colder Hearts I wonder if it is because it has been broken so often that it is unrepairable?

Any thoughts?

I am not broken hearted just FYI this question just hit me and i wanted to hear a few opinions from the peanut Gallery
:)

1. Good hearts are softer
And more prone to breaking. More readily given, yes indeed.

Quite a philosophical question for a Monday morning...ish, no? :D

2. there is a difference between a sensitive/naive person and a good person.
its not that a good person cant be sensitive or naive but these are not interchangeabe words.

8. I think that comes from being more secure with themselves
When my heart breaks it normally breaks pretty hard.
I envy those who can shake it off and never look back.

10. A person whose heart has been broken over and over and over
most definitely builds a wall. And yes, this is the voice of experience.

11. .... the heart is like any other muscle ... (metaphor alert)
... after prolonged abuse and mistreatment, scar tissues build up that make it less flexible, less prone to expansion, it may become hard and begin to atrophy.

Been there. I know. :(

12. I don't agree with your premise
Many people with good hearts show good will to their fellow man but know that their would will still go on if someone disappoints them, slights them, or leaves them.
