Frig double Frig. Just got a call from hospice..

It is not pretty. My mother is resitant to most help for the step dad. His skin is breaking down. Instead of using the morphine for pain controol she is dosing him so he will sleep. She just wont face facts and frankly I do not want to go over there.

This is a hard time of our lives, watching our parents get old.

3. oh wow -- i can't think of many things more tough than that.

when my dad was dying last year -- i had a hard time getting my mom to agree to give my dad morphine -- because she operated under the old wives tale that it hastened death.

THEN after she agreed to it -- on of her girlfriends at her church told her she was hastening dad's death.

i really, really feel for you.
