Spring hath sprungeth...
Besides seeing a red-wing blackbird today (a true sign of spring)and it being in the upper 60's today, I drove to and from Cedar Rapids today with the windows wide open. The tree sap is beginning to flow...you can smell the pine carried on the breeze.

I LOVE this time of year.
What are the sure signs of spring where YOU live?

It hit a couple of weeks ago.

2. Daylight Saving Time?
Actually, the fact that even the biggest piles of snow are now insubstantial and subject to continued melting is the best sign for me. I can't wait until I can throw open all the windows of the house and enjoy the spring smells and breezes.

4. It's 94 degrees today
and it's not even 1:30.

...and the gardener had to trim the rose bushes, since they're threatening a take-over. The lawn is freshly mowed, the blossoms finally fell off the neighbor's cactus, so I can put the Claritin away for now...

Springy enough? ;)
