Does anyone have those days where you feel like your retarded
or your IQ points dropped about 50 points. Or that you just can't seem to communicate right and you lose your concentration easily.

I've been talking to a friend on the phone and most of the stuff that came out of my mouth made me sound like a dumb dumb or someone who is stoned or some shit, and I'm not even high!

1. I have days when I feel like my head is in a fog.
As to the "retarded" comment...

3. Yes
I forgot the code to my phone about two weeks ago. I have tried and tried to figure it out since, but no dice. I am sure I have messages piling up. I can't change it because I get a special deal through my Mom's work and to change it she would have to know the code and she doesn't know it and never did. Then today I forgot how to add stuff to my favorites page. I mean, I couldn't find the 'add to favorites' button. I was freaking out, because I'm only 38 and it feels like I'm getting alzheimers.

4. I have been in a fog all frickin' day and I hate it
because then I really got to think of what I want to say.

I've been painting all weekend so maybe I'm wore out from that

5. Oh yeah.
Sounds like something that would be helped by a good night's sleep. Works wonders for me.

6. Hell, a good night's sleep is never guaranteed with me...
I'm waking up at least 5 times a night and then the next day I'm in a fog.

But hey I had great energy to make a couple of paintings!!!

I never knew you could get exhausted from that, I thought art was suppose to be relaxing.

8. It sounds like you poured everything you had into the paintings.
That would be a great talent to have.

9. Yeah, I made this nighttime seascape with the moon
and some abstract tribal thing. I will have to take a picture of them and load it up sometime tomorrow or so. I have to paint the border on the seascape picture as it looks weird.

11. Yep... I do have fibro...
There are days when I have energy but as soon as I exert myself I get worn out real fast, and I mean fast. I can drive around for two hours and then I would feel like I have been drained of all of my energy.

12. Fibro fog...
aka brain fog.

I have a friend with it, and we joke that between the two of us, we share one working brain. :silly:

13. Well I'm having it bad right now,
but then again I should be hitting the bed soon as I have counseling tomorrow. I hope that I am more coherent by then, lol.

15. The word "ret...ed" is offensive to many people, I pledged to stop using it
even in jest because of the good people here at DU that opened my eyes to it's offense. I like using asinine now. Words do hurt.

18. Absolutely--just recently, I passed my exit--
on my way to work, which is not even a new job, which is a route I have taken every day for four years. I didn't sleep the night before (I get evil insomnia, it goes with my neck pain and complements my migraines and cheers on my drinking habit) and I sincerely felt quite normal when I got behind the wheel. Just another sleepless night--no biggie. And I missed an exit. I found myself looking around thinking I was on the other highway and just not recognizing the buildings (gee, they build'em fast these days). When I realized what I had done, I was so awake that I realized turning back that I had best aim for home, not work--

no good being a danger to myself and others.
