I took the MidloVan to get new -hubcaps for the people who bought it because I'm such a nice person and hopped on the Powhite to get home quicker.

Totally forgetting that the Smart Tag is in the NEW van, not this one.

So, there I sat until a very nice lady came over and took my dollar so that I could pay the $.25 toll.

The kid behind me was steaming, so I paid his too.

But, that doesn't make up for the fact that it was a totally dumbass move.

1. My son took a driving class this weekend and

they gave a lecture on road rage. they said that if you put yourself in the person whom you are pissed at shoes you will find they probably feel the same as you would (sorrow at cutting them off, ect) and thus you shouldn't get mad.

I almost became a Republican at the Ellwood Thompson parking lot on Sunday. I have never seen so many hippie types so oblivious to the world immediately around them in my whole life.

Out in the parking lot when I came in one dipster had her Volvo completely, every door open taking up three spots in a parking lot where people actually sat and waiting for spot to open up. I had to pulled up and stop and wait for her to acknowledge me and then after a noticeable *sigh* she closed the driver's side doors. This was after motorcycle guy decided to take a whlole spot when there is clearly plenty of places that he could have parked it without taking a spot.

On the way this woman on the cell phone sat behind my car waiting for a man to finish loading up his car (all doors WIDE OPEN too). I honked several times and just as I was about to get out of the car she pulled forward two feet so I could pull out.

Everyone must be on cloud 9 as they cruise around that little parking lot because they clearly don't look to see if anyone (with the right of way) might be coming.

We don't have tolls in CT, so I get steamed when folks enter the Express Lane that designates 10 or 12 items or less and then have like 15 items. Or, when the elderly couple split their order of 24 or 25 items into two orders of 12 and 13 so they can make it into the express lane.

And, it's even worse when the express lane is "Cash only" and some dumbass inevitably ends up taking out their checkbook...

Funny you'd post this. Yesterday I took the only toll road in my city. I rarely take it; rarely does anybody else, either, apparently.

All I kept thinking was, do I have change?

Paid $2.00 to go maybe 12-14 miles. Yuck.

Every time I get on a toll road, I think of that scene in THE GODFATHER where Sonny stops at the toll booth.
