First bike ride of the season
That was fun and way to difficult. Did my usual 10 mile loop and averaged 16.4MPH. Not too bad but it took a lot out of me.
I'm in awe of Shine doing a century ride so early in the season.

1. I haven't ridden my bike in quite some time...
I'm wondering if it will irritate my plantar's fascia...
I think I'll ask the doc on Thursday when I see him.

2. It's nice to know there are fellow cyclists in here
I'm on the board of directors of the Bicycle Coalition of Maine and would permenantly give up my car if it weren't for this ^$#$^#%^#$ snow we get.

Recycle - ride your bike again
-- or --
Put something exciting between your legs, ride your bike.

3. I live in the backward South and ride my bike year round
My last car died in 1993. I'm still waiting for a compelling reason to replace it with something other than a good bicycle.

4. Is There A Cycling Forum?
I guess I could get off my lazy keyboard and go look!

I'm really interested in cycling... I want to get into it in a big way. I train indoors and used to ride some, but I want to find me a reasonable road bike and a cycling club and get into some rides.

No century rides, most I've ever done was a 50 miler once... 'bout killed me.

:hi:

5. You gotta crawl before you can walk
Longer distances are easy, just sneak up on them. Visit your local bike shop, chances are they sponsor weekly rides at various levels. Finds a group that fits in with your abilities. It's no fun getting dusted by everyone in the first 5 miles. Chances are your state has a cycling organization. Most states or major metro area do.

6. Wow, Who the Hell dragged this up
Posted this last week and didn't get a single reply.
After that ride it got cold again and snowed/iced. Hopefully I can get out again this weekend. Otherwise I'll haul the bike back to the basement and do some time on the rollers.

So I thought I'd dredge up some unanswered ones from page 20.
