How much is your monthly Energy Bill?

Poll question: How much is your monthly Energy Bill?

Ours was $300 this month, which seems awfully high. $230 of it is for gas usage.

1. Last month it was $81 and thats just using the fireplace and the water heater.

that was the highest it ever got the lowest was about $40 in the late spring.

And I keep the heat at about 63. A 2100 sf gas/electric house. It's crazy...that's a rent payment for some.

4. $860 electric bill

Here in CT, my February electric bill (includes electric heat) was $860 for 2100 square feet.

My friend's electric bill (without electric heat) for a house with comparable square feet was $530. Another friend's studio apartment was $180.

Then I'll quit complaining. We've had a very mild winter or mine would be higher but nothing like that.

roughly 55 bucks in the winter, and 100 bucks during the summer....:D

Gas (CuFt x 100) 55 = $65.81

Elec (KWH) 295 = $33.78



House is 1,280 square feet.

The gas bill will be cut about in half from now through September or so, since most of that's the furnace. But the electric bill will go up a bit since I'll have at least one fan goin' most of the time.

Oh...wait. Kollyfornia does it separately, doesn't it? At least in SoCal they did. Gas bill and electric and water all came separately.

Pain in the ass...but the sticker-shock isn't as bad.

in the rent statement. But water's not energy, so... :shrug:

Anyway, it's nothin' — $5.37 last month. But that'll go up now, too, since I've already started watering the lawn again. And the roses.

I live in a small place, and I rarely use the heater. Last year during the heat wave I had to get an air conditioner just to survive, and my electric bill went up to $35.00 for the month, but it's usually around $28.00 or so.

now that I'm back in Minnesota, where things make sense. I have good insulation. I hated $300 power bills in the summer in GA.

but that is in Korean won. About $350 for gas and electricity combined. Last summer.... about $700. Holy shit.

20. Depends on the season

I'm in the upper midwest, with a 1225 sq. ft. condo.

Under $50 in the summer, $125-175 in the winter.

I'm sure in the south it's reversed.
