ST:Voyager? Hell, I'm addicted to ST:Enterprise Monday nights on Sci-Fi
Yes, they did the same old tired thing - hot alien chick in tight clothes - but wow, they picked an effective one. Even if there's never been a single Trek alien as hot as Six on Battlestar Galactica, Jolene Blalock, wow.

I liked that they had an adversarial relationship between humans and Vulcans. I liked seeing Andorians again. I liked Tucker because, FINALLY, for the first time since McCoy, a Trek character with a southern accent. In fact, I liked the entire cast. Phlox was my favorite doctor of any Trek series.

Enterprise's first episodes just kill the early Next Generation or DS9 episodes.

2. I really like Cap'n Archer as well, it's a crime they stopped making them
although I think they had the lamest ending ever.

3. Is Jonathan Archer's name an Homage to John Archer
Male lead in the fabulous 1951 flick "Destination Moon"?
I like Enterprise too, with one exception.
The ship looked too advanced. It should have been more bolts and boilerplate
so the TOS Enterprise looked more advanced.
(I know it was better, the evil empire origin episodes are my faves.)

5. I thought it was a great series, with real potential.
It was great to see them fill in the backstory of the ST universe (first human use of transporters, phase pistols, armed starships, the formation of the Federation), while also introducing new alien races and telling some pretty compelling stories.

I like the fact that the Vulcans and humans don't see eye-to-eye on many things, and would have been even better to see how that relationship evolved into the more relaxed (yet still somewhat prickly) one of the TOS era.

I agree that the final episode was disappointing. Trundling out the usual suspects from TNG was bad enough, but making the whole episode a holodeck simulation really stank. I know they wanted to tell the big story about the formation of the Federation and had only a single episode to do it, but surely there was a better way.
