I love working for a blue company
My boss just let me turn down a big job from a major "media watchdog group" that "exposes the left-wing media bias".

He (my boss) said, "Even though it pays a lot, we have our morals."

I put it a lot nicer on the phone - but the guy totally didn't get it and was very upset. Particularly cause we are the only ones in the area that can get him what he needs as quickly as he needs it.

just had to share.

2. it is, isn't it
it makes all the hard work more worth it when you know it's being done for the right causes.

4. I would say that...
but there are all those very deserving people who don't get to.

So, it's probably luck. (Which is okay too!)
:D

6. I do too! That's why I'm sharing!
It was sweet - lots of angry sputtering on his end - which I thought was funny, because I was being nice and diplomatic.

9. I work for a non-profit the CEO of which is a closet liberal. I say "closet"
because he has to court potential donors (we provide health care to the underinsured and un-insured) and needs them from whomever he can solicite, regardless of politics. But, God bless him, he is always sending his employees e-mails espousing progressive causes like funding for State health care and so on. And saying things like "I can't tell you how to vote, but this issue here..."

Plus, a lot of our employees are good lefties. It makes for a pleasant workplace. B-)
