Look at what my boyfriend gave me this morning

dumb cat left it right on the doorstep for me sometime last night.

I almost stepped on it, too.

freaked me the hell out.

Cats are such trips. What in the hell would humans want with mangled rats and other vermin?

1. How sweet!
The one I got yesterday was missing the head and the innards were scattered artistically across the welcome mat.

Spring is here!

3. *sniff*
Ingrate! Harrumph!

We have a cat but she does not go outdoors. I would have to check into a nervous hospital if she drug a rat or mouse into the house.

13. Ah, delicious!
There's a new animated feature coming out soon with that name I think. It's about a rat in Paris that wants to be a chef.

5. He just wants to make sure
you're eating right.

:P

You haven't lived until you've stepped in (not on...in) one that's still warm at 2 a.m.

In your bare feet.

Ewwwwwwwww....

that had been there for several weeks under a piece of furniture.
Don't ask me how my brother didn't smell it...

9. Hey, you got the whole thing!
Our mouser tends to give us just parts. Found a foot in the bathroom sink once. That was a nice "good morning" present. She just can't resist chowing down, I guess--I suppose it's kind of her to give us a memento--I presume she wants to make sure she gets her praise. Or something. :eyes:

Edited on Wed Mar-14-07 12:00 PM by merh
Just like a kid showing you his drawings or a poem or how he can hit a baseball or dunk the ball.

It's his gift to you and he wants you to be proud of him.

you need your ass kicked for that animation :)

:hi:

I "am" proud of him - he's a stray that I feed (along with his sister) and those two are always waiting on the doorstep for me when I come home :)

18. He appreciates the home
I am the foster mom of two pups, they are two of the best pups I've ever owned.

Animals know how to love and they appreciate the love given.

19. You really ought to eat it.
He got it for you and it is considered rude not to at least take a small nibble on it to show you appreciate his efforts. If your human boyfriend brought home a box of chocolates you would eat one, wouldn't you?

26. He didn't bring it for me......
I don't think its a good idea, he might get jealous. It's just meat anyways, sort of like a really small cow. Sort of. If you dress it out right you could possibly get a nice sandwich out of it.
My cat brought me this last year. It was a baby mole, an easy bite sized morsel.

28. There was no way to save it.
It was either do nothing and let it starve to death slowly or get it over with quickly. I assure you it was as painless as possible and involved no trauma.

20. Mr. Rubyduby's cat, Ted, once brought us a live rabbit
I was not amused. It took us quite a while to get it trapped so we could make sure it was ok and release it back outside.

Ted really is of the devil...
