9. Well y'all have covered most high points

But in my humble, a really good episode. Plenty of good "wha???" moments--including eyeypatch and the "list" and names biz-- a compressed flashback that didn't eat up whole show, and good acting by de Ravin. I think she might be best actor on show. She had lots of "They want to steal my baby" hysteria and confusion to do early on, but tonight she showed about as much range as anyone has shown across entire course of show.

And wow, blood squirtin' out of ears. Cool. And Sawyer reading another "theory of society" novel. Deep. But no Hurley in the montages. Dude....

12. OK, I'm going to boast....
I had already figured out (last season) that Claire was Jack's sister. But, unless she found out her father's name, they may never know.

My daughter, who usually doesn't like Locke, suggested that they should throw eyepatch guy into the fence. Then...we know what happened. I told her that she and Locke are kindred spirits. Since, she's still mourning Boone (Get over it, girlfriend), she didn't agree.

Actually, Locke and I are kindred spirits, except I would never have done that whole obsessive father thing. Next week...it's all about Locke. (Nice to see Sayid again, too.)

23. Pretty sure the preview from last week showed that Locke was going to throw him into the fence.
How did you figure out that Claire was Jack's sister last season?

24. There was a scene last season...
When Ana Lucia drove Jack's father to a small house in Australia. Jack's father got into an argument with the person who answered the door (now I think it was Claire's aunt). It just seemed logical given the plot development up until that point.

It will be interesting to see if the show is on long enough for Claire and Jack to figure out their connection.

What I saw in last week's preview was eyepatch guy throwing himself into the fence. It may just be that I missed something, though.

:hi:

25. I think you did, because in the preview, after he goes into the fence, Sayid asked Locke...
Why he did that, or something along those lines.

Yeah, that connection with Jack's father visiting someone in Australia last season came to me after. Never thought of it at all before though, haha.

The show has gone back to what made it great in season one.

Locke is intriguing. I can't wait to see what will be revealed about him next week.

15. "show has gone back towhat made it great..."
I agree. While the new characters and multiple layers of "others" may well prove to be worth it in the long, there was a while there where it felt like an onslaught that was growing out of control. The Hurley VW ep and tonight's were rocking.

If so, pardon my senility. But she looked familiar. If not, from other shows, movies, etc I suppose.

Thanks in advance....

This is the producers sneaky way of making us want to buy the past two seasons.

22. That could be it.
But something makes me wonder with this Dharma project, will mom in coma show up?

There is an undercurrent of medical science experimentation in some of the episodes. Like the sister of the woman that convinced Jack to do the surgery on Ben, the one with the illness. How that tied that lady to the project, whatever it is.

20. Hey old friend!!!!
Long time no see. I just got reconnected on some municipal wifi in last few months. I'm only spotty at best, but I've kept an eye out for you. I hope things are going good for you. If I got tombstoned or something tomorrow, you'd be one of the folks I'd remember every time I thought of DU.

Hurely's a great one for reminding us that little things give us the sense of live's getting back to normal, huh?

21. It's so good to see you.
:hi:

Hurley's VW experience reminded me of when I finally bought my used hunk of junk after the storm, the freedom it gave me and yes, the feeling that life was getting back to normal. How neat that you understand that. :) It also reminded me of my college vehicle, a rusted and faded, puke green VW squareback with dual carbs that I kept running with bubble gum.

Life is moving right along, I have hopes that a project I have been working on for more than a year will come to fruition moving me that much closer to normal and out of this fema tin can.

I hope life is good to you, you so deserve it. Your kindness and encouragement helped more than you can know, even this post made a gloomy night brighter (bad weather and fema dwellings don't go well together and we are in for some tonight.) Thank you.

I'll look for you on the board now that I know you are around again.

:)

34. I remember her from an old NYPD Blue episode.
She was one of the many Donna Abandondo replacements. Turned out she was an Aussie pretending to be a Southerner. She outed herself to Bobby.

26. Did anybody else have a problem with the perimeter fence?
If it's so deadly, why wasn't the perimeter littered with animal corpses? And how exactly does a sonic weapon kill you?

Here's my (admittedly far-fetched) hypothesis: the perimeter fence is actually for keeping the Others inside. It's already been established that some Others (e.g. Juliette) are there against their will. While a sonic wave is a pretty shitty way to kill intruders, it could be a pretty nifty way to activate an others-self-destruct-perimeter-implant of some sort. Russkie McEyepatch would have such an implant, while the Losties would not, which is why he was killed, and the Losties were able to scoot their asses barely one foot over the sensors.

Or, maybe I'm entirely full of crap.

That's just the sort of thing lost would do, especially as no doubt Dharma built the perimeter. Perhaps they were testing on the others?

29. I haven't seen many people mention...
on here or other boards I read, the notion that Claire alluded to her wishing the accident with her mom to happen. Just as Juliet wished her ex husband getting hit by the bus, and a few others.
