My dad is so funny.

He's out here rebuilding MMjr. treehouse, which was destroyed during Katrina. When he pulled up in his truck, I began making biscuits and gravy, and bacon.

My dad LOVES biscuits and gravy. He'd cancel a meeting with the president if he knew that biscuits and gravy were on the menu at my house.

So I hollered at him, and said, "Dad, I'm making biscuits and gravy." He came in, and he picked up my tv remote and said, "is this thing working?" I said yes, and he tried to dial it like a phone. :rofl:

I said, "Dad! That's the remote!" So I handed him the phone, and he called my Mom, and said, "I'm just gonna work through lunch."

He didn't tell her that he was going to pig out on biscuits and gravy at my house. :D

I swear, I love my Dad. :patriot:

2. He's a hoot. 77 years old, still going strong.

Beat cancer. Suffers from terrible arthritis that has fused all the vertebrae in his back...

But he keeps on plugging on. He taught me to enjoy the daily treasures of life.

6. It took me twenty years of trying to finally master flour gravy.

But I finally got it perfected. Dad knows this, so any time I fix gravy, he's sitting at my table.

7. it reminds me of something that happened in the 80s

i was hanging out in the living room with a bunch of friends smoking up a bit :smoke: and one guys beeper went off. he picked up the cordless phone from the coffee table, put the beeper to his ear, and stared at the phone trying to figure out what he was supposed to do next. :P

Well, to my Dad's credit, my cordless phone and my Directv remote look A LOT alike. It was still funny watching him dial the "phone" by hitting the channel buttons on the remote, though.
