Any Sinatra fans here tonight?
If you'd like to hear him , Tony Bennett and similar artists, go to www.wpfw.org between now and 9:00 PM for some of the best music on the radio. The host, Donnie McKethan has excellent taste!

2. Right Here!
Thanks for that link. I'm listening to it as I type. My favourite Sinatra song is his his version of "Someone To Watch Over Me." Very few songs can make me cry, but that one does every time.

4. Love him. Saw him live in the late 70's. He still had it. What a show!

11. I saw him in the late 70's too.
It was fantastic.

The other night, PBS out of Milwaukee aired one of his concerts from Caesar's in the 70's. Brought back lots of memories.

5. Donnie usually likes to play "lesser known" songs by Sinatra, Bennett and others
His show is also one of the only places I have ever heard Mel Torme. I used to listen to him every Thursday night when I lived in the D.C. area. Thank God for the Internets!

7. Hellllll yes!
Sinatra, singing Cole Porter's "I've Got You Under My Skin", with arrangement by Nelson Riddle.

A thin slice of American collaborative musical genius. :smoke:

8. Ya know!
I wasn't really big into Sinatra when he was alive, I think it was an immaturity thing. But when we moved into a historic house, and thus, were expected to "entertain", I really started appreciating his smooth ways. Since then we've picked up Sinatra, Bennett, Dean Martin, etc. And I've found Sinatra to be just right for when your concentrating on something...good background music, but not overwhelming.

10. Absolutely. My 5-year-old son is a fan too, and can recognize his voice instantly...
even on songs he's never heard before. He does the same with Dean Martin.

12. My kids have been listening to him since they were young too.
When my son was learning to talk he pronounced his "l" as a "y," and when he sang, "Luck be a Lady," it came out, "Yuck be a Yady." We still laugh about it.
