The music going into the commercial after the story about the stupid criminal was Joe Jackson's "Little Bit Stupid." This is by no means a big hit, but a track from the "Volume 4" album, which reunited the original Joe Jackson Band a few years back.

So, anybody know if Keith's a fan?

1. How is mentioning buffer music on a show that has no plot a spoiler?

2. I didn't want to ruin the surprise for JJ fans who recorded the show for later viewing.
That's why I put the question mark. :)

4. No.
One of my all time favorite albums (pre cd days) is "Big World" by Joe Jackson. Probably the best 'top forty' song was from the mid eighties "Stepping Out" - but he generally was just off the main pop road. But really cool music and lyrics.

(Songs like "Everyhing... causes cancer... there's no cure, there's no answer..." And on the album I refer to above there is a great - but loud/cacaphonious song "We're the Jet Set.... get out of our way" that captures the sense of the stereotypical 'Ugly American' in a song.

5. Don't know the song.
But as a piano player, trained in classical, I find that the pop people whose music I relate to the best are pianists: Joe Jackson, Harry Nilsson, Randy Newman.

Now I'm getting into some obscure Kurt Weill and an even more obscure Oscar Levant (talk about brilliant pianists!) song.
