2. I like that one too!
He seems like a genuinely happy guy. If he has regrets, he moves beyond them. He's on my top 3 list of people I would want to meet before I/he dies. Actually my husband did get to meet him...he said he filled the whole room with his presence (and in a good way). Another friend's mother got to have a small audience with him at the WH, although she "was" a staunch repub, she said he could've charmed the pants "even" off of her (and not in a sleazy way).

9. Yes indeed, he is a force of nature.
I saw him campaign 3 times in '92.

He made a speech and from 50 feet away I was reduced to being a babbling idiot -- all I could do was go "duhhhhhh!!!" like a mule hit in the head by a two by four.
He could have been reading the phone book for all I knew.

Not many men impress me with their charisma. Two others I can think of that I have met are Bob Krueger (was appointed Senator in TX, couldn't get elected, too smart) and Paul Stookey.

4. Unlike Bush, whose laugh sounds like he just tied someone to the tracks.

11. I completely agree
I found myself at a luncheon sitting two tables away --being served the same croissant sandwich that he was having. I was with three good friends, and I swear all three of us felt like we were on some kind of cloud. When lunch was over we were able to shake hands with Hillary and then jumped in line to meet Bill. We would have gotten in line for Bill first, but we were volunteering for Hillary. Of course they were ushering him out a door just as we got over to his line, but I was standing maybe four feet from him and I was overwhelmed with his presence. He was wearing jeans, cowboy boats, and a button down shirt. Get a mental picture of that? He looked hawt, no doubt. I have great close up pictures, but I haven't figured out how to post them.

Your husband and your friends mother are spot on! I actually felt weak in the knees.

7. It's nice but I have to say I was really confused by it at first. It looks like
he has two right arms. Or that the guy next to him (who is actually holding the book) is holding up the woman's hand for him to kiss- which is just weird. I can't stop looking at it.

Edited on Fri Mar-16-07 01:13 AM by grasswire
...are the one where he's playing tag with some little kids and the one where he's riding the elephant in India. I don't have either one handy, and would appreciate it if someone has the tag pic.
