Any idea where to find a waterproof mattress sheet/ cover
We moved JackMN into a "big boy bed," (twin size) and he's not fond of keeping his clothes or diaper on.

1. I found them at Mervyn's.
I wanted to find full cover that wasn't plastic-y or would make the sleeper get sweaty. I found full zip-on covers that are waterproof yet feel cotton-y to the touch. Removable, washable, for about $40.

But you ought to also be able to find just smaller waterproof pads for the specific area that might get wet. They used to come in rubberized flannel. Don't google "rubber sheets" -- I did that once and encountered a lot of porn sites.

2. I bought one at Bed,Bath and Beyond.
It was just like the one posted above, zip on covers that feel like cotton but are waterproof. I paid about $100 for a queen size one.

7. Try a pharmacy that carries supplies for the elderly.

My dad was incontinent prior to his death, so I had to get one of those pads. They came in all sizes, thank God.

There's a name for it, but I haven't had enough coffee to remember.

In the meantime, if you have footie pajamas for him, put them on backwards. He probably won't be able to get them off.

8. Bed , Bath, and Beyond or Linens 'n' Things.
If you get the soft mattress topper, you might want to get the more plastic-y kind for underneath it. I've found that the "waterproof" soft covers don't do the job completely and have to be replaced periodically. I've used the zip-the-whole-mattress-in "hard" covers under the soft ones to really protect the mattress. They're easy to scrub while still on the bed, too.

When I was dealing with bedwetting, I used the plastic zip cover, a soft supposedly waterproof top layer AND the waterproof bed pads sold in pharmacies ON TOP of the sheets. Those pads are very thick and comfortable, and come in two or three sizes. Sometimes I only had to wash the pad and the top layers of bedding, because the underlayers had been protected. Good for traveling, too, though pharmacies also sell disposable bed pads. Sometimes I also used a waterproof layer between the bottom sheet and the soft cover (I really got sick of the laundry after a while).

One more suggestion until you don't have to worry about it any more: make the top layer of bedding a single, lightweight but warm layer, instead of top sheet-blanket-comforter -- something like a down blanket (that's what I used). Then you don't have seventeen loads of wash to do every time he wets the bed.
