I have to bring the cat to the vet today
He's overdue for his yearly exam.

I get to stuff him in the cat carrier (a process much like stuffing a marshmallow in a piggybank), listen to him yowl in the car all the way to the vet's office and then spend a small fortune on his fat, furry self.

Once he's there, he loves it, though. The entire staff adores him so he just lounges on the exam table and accepts their devotion. It's like being the valet to a movie star. :eyes:

1. You need one of those top loader carrying cases
much easier than trying to shove em in the front door.

2. I haven't seen those
Makes sense - let gravity do the work.

Hopefully, his teeth won't need cleaning. ~sigh~

4. I sit mine on end and then drop him in.
I have a front loader and I just sit the thing on end with the front facing up--then I just drop him in.

I find that getting him OUT at the vet's office is much more problematic-and I solved that by putting the thing together with wing nuts so that I just take it apart to get him out...

CATS. You never really win--have you ever noticed that?

5. They do march to a different drummer
My dogs all loved to go to the vet. Bunch of dopey idiots - as long as someone was paying attention to them, they didn't care if it involved thermometers in their butts or needles or anything else.

Cats are a bit more fastidious. But Oops is actually a really good boy. His resistance is fairly passive - no clawing and biting.

6. Reminds me of that Far SIde cartoon years ago.
Dog is sitting there all excited and happy looking:

"Yep yep yep!!!! I'm gonna go to the vet and I'm gonna get tutored!!!"
