The brother of dear childhood friends (twins) died Wednesday--He will be missed

His name was Monte. He was a good-natured, happy-go-lucky guy. He had been in remission for melanoma, but a little over a year ago it returned. He had slipped into a coma on Manday night. His daughter was with him when he died.

I spoke with one of his twin sisters. His funeral is today in Oklahoma City. I will see the family this coming June when I go to OKC to visit.

No need for responses here. Am just trying to get the news about Monte out to my sister who also reads these boards. I would contact her directly, but that's just not possible at this time.

I will probably kick this thread a couple of times today and tonight with the hope my sister sees it. I am sure she would want to know.

His sisters had gone home for a rest that night. But, the twin I talked with said she was glad the coma didn't last long. Said it would have torn the family's heart even more if that had lasted, and that shortly before he slipped into the coma, he had made sure for himself that he had given his love and good-byes to his family....he knew he was close to the end.
