The easiest solution to difficult people is simply to ignore them. You and Billy know who you are, you know what you do, and you know what you believe. Neither a just nor an unjust statement interpreting any of these matters defines you.

On some level by leaving you are elevating those who criticize you above those who love you. This is not fair to those who love you if you really think about it on the deepest level.

On any large message board like this, there are bound to be assholes who say hurtful things, who actually LOOK for people to attack. I think a person needs a bit of a thick skin to be here, to be able to let attacks just roll off your back, and to perhaps even expect it so you're not surprised when they happen.
