I, for one, am glad if they make a nice living off this site. They've provided a wonderful place for all of us to meet and greet.

12. I think you have to remember that the 'worth' is dependent on

whether or not the software, servers, etc are wholly owned by DU. They might not be, therefore, the asset minus the liability to get the actual worth might be far less.

If the website was doing THAT well, I don't think there would be ads or fundraisers. They could just exist off the monthly donors.

Not the revenues or profit made by the site.

Think of it this way. If DU was going to be shut down tomorrow, how much would all the members be willing to pay to keep it running?
