It's a landmark song that came out in the sixties, and the composer, Mason Williams, was promptly forgotten by many. But did you know he was, among other things, a comedy writer?

I just discovered he was head writer for the Smothers Brothers during their entire TV run!

And he's still here, doing all kinds of cool stuff. Not bad for a one hit wonder who made his mark over forty years ago!

I might have known that he wrote for them too, but I'm not certain cause my memory ain't what it used to be, many long years ago.
