Totally shallow, irrelevant, possibly sexist question
Why can't conservative women use makeup?

I'm serious. Except for Nancy Reagan, a former stage actress, no conservative woman who does her own makeup looks good. The latest proof: perjurer Victoria Toensing.

Laura Bush we're all familiar with--she seems to have chosen to look like Jack Nicholson in Batman. But she's not alone.

1. Prolly something about conserv men
liking the painted whore look, as opposed to the natural little or no makeup look of us liberal women.

2. Hmm.
not quite sure I read your OP right, but a lot of women do not use make up at all...which is a good thing IMO.

3. I do believe you didn't read my OP right
Watch close next time you're out and about. Pay particular attention to women driving vehicles with lots of Bush crap on the back of them.

If she's a conservative woman and she has makeup on, it's probably fucked up. It'll either be too heavy, crooked or both.

4. I'm not sure, but there does seem to be a pattern.
I also give you Jean Schmidt and Michelle Bachmann, two bright shining lights of the lunatic Right in Congress. Both of them look like they applied their makeup with a spackle knife. And then there was Tammy Faye Bakker, who apparently used roofing tar for mascara.

If these ladies ever smile, does their makeup flake off in big greasy chunks?

It might be they think that if they don't slather a whole bucket of gesso on their faces every morning, they'll look unfeminine, like those damn Godless lib'rul lesbian-type man-hating feminists who don't wear makeup at all and maybe don't even shave their legs.

6. Hmm...you're right. Katherine Harris is the most egregious example that
pops right up, but it's true, they all suck at it.

It's probably because they focus so much on style over substance, that they're bound to exaggerate in that area as well. It's all hyperbole and 'over the top' with them, because there's nothing of substance there, with their faith or their politics or their values, it's all sound bites and sham, and so are they. So it's probably that: overcompensation for their lack of humanity.

7. Ah Laura
My wife calls her "The Lizard Queen" because of her bad makeup and scaly looking neck.
