First of all, the drive from Chicago to Minneapolis turned out to be eight hours because I hit heavy traffic in several areas. The whole way, I was bombarded with * bumperstickers in all the extremely rural areas. Silly me, I thought this drive was only six hours long!
Then, I had my big skating competition just this morning. I got off to a rough start when I realized that one of my competitiors was a blonde bimbo from Oklahoma who had a double-loop jump and a death-drop spin--the harder elements at the USFS Adult Gold Ladies level which I was nowhere near close to getting. In case I didn't tell you before, I hate skating against people like that! I was actually the last person in my group to skate, so my coach spent the whole time trying to calm me down. As a result, I was a mental mess when it was finally my turn. The judges wasted no time giving me straight 11th and LAST places as a result.
I have another competition in a month. It's the USFS Adult Nationals:
http://adultnationals2007.org/ Unfortunately, it looks as if I may have to scratch this one. I'm far more than tired of dealing with snots and *-supporting robots, and being treated like shit. The problem I have with quitting now is, this competition is just 20 minutes from my house.
:wtf: :argh: :grr:   :nuke:
