Someone tell me how I should spend the next 10 hours

I work 3rd shift so I don't have to go in until about 10pm Monday night. I've got beer, but I think I will use that as a last resort. I'm on the east coast so all of my friends and family are already settled in for the evening. I guess I need a hobby or maybe a more imaginative brain.

I can't concentrate on any other type of reading besides short little passages like those found on DU.

2. Anything that is spiritually fulfilling

A book, good music, go eat out with friends or that special someone.

Avoid loneliness. That is a must. My personal enemy.

7. I don't really have any hobbies

I screw around on computers and drink beer for much of my free time. I need to do something different, but it's about 12:30 here now.

It looks like you have a really nice place there in California. Winter doesn't let go as easily here in Ohio. We still have probably another month before we get green here.

I have to sleep during the day because of my work schedule. As for the guitar, I am a failed guitarist. I guess that means I should take up bass. :)

I go into work at 10pm and get off at 9am.

18. That's good advice! And it reminds me of something funny.

Years ago a friend, Susie, was complaining about her husband being boring and she said something like, "John's probably in there watching "Life of an Ant" or something on PBS". She has a great sense of humor and the way she said it cracked me up. She totally made up the "Life of an Ant" part to sound as ridiculously dull as possible. Years later, there I was, reading "Life of an Ant" by Edward O. Wilson. While not exactly tense and suspenseful, it was actually quite good and more entertaining than the title suggests.

I forget what I learned from the book, but I always think of Susie when I hear of that book.
