Corned Beef, Take Deux...
No, it's not supposed to smell like rotten dead nastiness when you take it out of the package... :puke:

Off ot the store we went, three stores in fact, before we got another package. This time, no zombie decay stench...Whew!

And it's back on! :bounce:

6. Oh, gross! Bad corned beef is a smell only a dog could love.
Hope the REST of the dinner preparation goes smoothly.

8. I slow cooked ours this year.
Put it in with some new red potatoes, carrots and onions. About an hour before serving, I cut a half a head of cabbage into wedges and places those in the slow cooker too.

I took the other half a cabbage, chopped it up and sauted it up with some chunks of pared Jonathon apples and some sugar.

It was gone in 2 days.
