My "listen to me whine" thread...

:( It's been one helluva day. The past couple of weeks have been insanely busy, and just when I didn't think the insanity level could get any higher, it got to Code Red today. People are losing their fucking minds and then expecting me to make it all better. :grr: Awarding season has begun for the next academic year, and it would be fine if that was all I had to do. I am in the process of basically reworking the current year's financial aid for 1300 students, which is no small task. The independent auditor, who has been dragging out the yearly audit from the 2005-06 academic year, finally got around to looking at the 45-page fax I sent him last Monday, and he sent me an email at noon that I finally got a chance to read at 3:00. At 3:10 PM, said auditor called me and said, "I need for you to fix that last case today. I'm going out of town tomorrow." :wtf: He had that damn stuff for a week and sat on it, then I have to drop every fucking thing I'm doing to work on that. I told him I would get it to him before I left today but no guarantees on getting it before 5 PM. He called me at 5:10 pm wondering where the stuff was, and I nearly exploded at him. I'm normally a rational, calm person, but he caught me at exactly the wrong time. In a very controlled voice, I told him I would email him the results and fax the backup information in the morning. (This audit has been dragging on since Sept., which was three months before I started working there. And the Federal deadline for filing this audit is March 31. According to our CFO, this is normal behavior for this auditor.

So this means I'm working on three academic years at once, and nobody can seem to leave me the fuck alone to work on it. Oh, and to top it all off, I've got raging PMS today. :cry: I got home at almost 7 PM today. And all of this is why my posting quota here has dropped so dramatically.

her account statement shows no financial aid at all for the quarter starting a week from today. They reverse off anticipated and post funded and today she was to have the balance deposited to her checking account to buy books. But, as it stands now, we owe over $6000 for this quarter.
