I know I can land this job if I can answer one question well.
It's a permanent positions, but I have a lot of contract positions on my resume. To my credit, they've averages nearly a year, and they've all been in the same industry (pharmacy), so it's not as though I'm a frivilous job-hopper. But I certainly can't say that companies find it more cost-efficient to outsource their administrative help. So what DO I say?

1. hmm....
I don't think that your resume should specify whether a position was contract or permanent -- just where you worked, for how long, and a brief synopsis of your accomplishments there.

But if you are asked about it at an interview, maybe you could say something like, "I'd prefer a permanent position, but that hasn't been my main criteria in where I've worked in the past. I wanted to take jobs where I could hone my skills. I've learned from all of them and now I'm in a position where I can make a strong contribution to your company."

2. I've been a hiring manager
but not in the pharmacy business, so I don't know how usual or unusual your experience is.

But if you're young enough, it's perfectly reasonable to say you were more interested in the variety of expriences than in the comfort of a steady job. But now you're at a point where you'd like to use that experience to succeed in a single long-term job.

Hell, it got me into my relationship :D
