Bye Bye Cat!
Sorry. He had to go. Once, twice, three times peeing on the couch. OK.

Four, five, six.

OK. Time to go to the vet. Vet's diagnosis: "He's fine!"

Seven, eight, nine.

Ten. Bye cat.

4. I would say you should stick with fish, but in my experience aquariums are more work than cats.
At least any aquarium worth having.

25. Then why do you have pets at all?
If you don't give a shit about animals, then you don't deserve to have them.

It's not a bad thing to decide that your pet needs a different home, but it is disgusting to treat animals as disposable.

If you did, in fact, want your cat to find a good home, you could have gotten off your ass and found her one.

3. What did you do with the cat?
What did you do to attempt to stop the cat from peeing on the couch?

11. You're sick.
The LEAST you could do is find a no-kill shelter or put an ad out to find him a new home.

I hope you NEVER get another pet again.

14. Too bad this guy will probably get off scott free.
:puke:

The nonchalantness about it is what makes it extremely disturbing. I feel bad both for the cat he dumped on the streets and for the sister cat wondering where her brother is.

23. You're disgusting.
You're responsible for that cat, regardless of the fact that you're too incompetent to train it.

The least you could have done was given it away to someone with better ethics than you.

29. Dude...at least be kind enough to drop him off at a shelter
let him pee all over the shelter - that's why they have mops.

7. I've been there and thought that.
The little shit is still alive. He'll be 13 in august. The short and simple is that I would rather live with the little shit than without him. So I just keep cleaning up after him.

13. I've had to lose a cat once because of that.
I've worked through it with other cats. Usually it's a change of food or water source. Cats get urinary tract problems that vets don't pick up on, related to food or water (high lime or mineral content water). I've bought more expensive food and gave the cat the same filtered water I drink, and that's cured it (not spring water, that makes it worse). ANother cat had a problem getting in her litter box. Another cat was territorial, so I set up two litter boxes.

But there was one cat we couldn't fix. She was feral, and we brought her in the house when she had kittens under the shed of a vacant house nearby. She wouldn't use the litter box for any reason. We would lock her in a cage with a litter box and she'd pee (and poo) on the cage bottom instead of the box. When we let her out, she did it on the couch, the carpet, even once on the kitchen counter. She'd do it while we watched. We'd even let her out of the house, and only let her back in when she wanted. She'd come in just to pee on the carpet.

So once her kittens had been adopted out, we gave her up to a rescue service. Hopefully she's a happy barn cat somewhere now.

27. you should be ashamed of yourself
I understand some cats never get it right, but you don't just release cat to the outdoors and abandon it. That's horrible. Take it to a shelter. Human decency demands that.
