Symptoms of Alzheimer's
Can anyone tell me the symptoms of Alzheimer's? Do people with Alzheimer's ask the same question over and over again? Do people with Alzheimer's just forget everything and not say anything? What are the symptoms?

2. check out the kind of vacant stare Ronald Reagan had - note
the cover strategy of telling charming stories to deflect from topics of conversation that might be more relevant...and if you are in regular company you will notice the repition of the same stories or as they deteriorate the stories start to morph and meld as well. It can actually be hard to detect if you aren't around the person much.

5. Every case is different.
My mom had Alzheimer's. At first, she just started wearing season-inappropriate clothes. Then her behavior got a bit childish. Then her memory began to fail her. She suffered for ten years. I wouldn't wish it on anybody.

4. Patients
may get violent. They also get their days and nights mixed up, tending to stay up all night and catnap all day. When they are awake they are often active to distraction; always wanting to do something that might hurt themselves or others. Can fall asleep in a split second. Usually remember stuff that happened 50 years ago but can't remember what happened two minutes ago. These are some of the things my father went through with Alzheimers. Bless you if you have a family member with this nasty disease.

6. If you suspect that you or a loved one
may be starting to suffer from this or any other disease, you should start by speaking with your doctor. It's a complex disease and you should speak with someone qualified.

Good luck.

7. There are many stages of Alzhiemers, so it's not an easy question to answer
It can develop slowly, over many years...it just depends on the person. I'd suggest doing some online research to educate yourself about it. There's tons of info out there for you. Good luck, that's a challenging journey to walk with a loved one.
