Only in a place like Camden, Maine...
Hearse driver one of seven ticketed for illegal 'tribute'As funeral director Walker "Hutch" Hutchins descended the Camden Opera House stairs following 22-year-old Michael Libby's celebration of life service on March 14, blue smoke wafted up the stairs and the smell of blistering rubber filled his nostrils.
"The kids, Mike's friends, were egging me early on to burn a little rubber for Mike too, but never before have I done such a thing at a funeral service," said Hutchins.
But burn rubber he did and Hutchins, of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins of Rockland, said he would "absolutely" do it again under the same circumstances.

Hutchins was one of seven drivers summoned by Camden police for burning rubber in front of the opera house on March 14. The official violation is unnecessary brake/acceleration noise, but Hutchins said it felt like the right thing to do.
