Need a bit of help for a benefit
I thought this would most appropriately be posted here, as it doesn't fit anywhere else.

I work in the little town of Dumas, Arkansas. You may have heard of us. We just had two tornadoes blow through town, destroying about 80 percent of the business district and many homes. About 800 people are out of work - nowhere to work. Bush declined to declare the town a disaster, so we are doing rebuilding with no help from FEMA.

Everyone is pitching in, and I want to do a benefit performance at our high school, and get a foundation to match whatever our local arts center can raise with the benefit. My problem? I know a lot of wonderful singers and actors, but as they are all local, very few folks will come to see them. Here's the favor: Does anyone know a famous person who would be willing to come to Dumas, Arkansas, and participate in a benefit performance? The money will go to help the city rebuild, and to those who have lost everything in the storms.

If you don't know anyone famous, any suggestions on how we can make enough money to really make a difference in the lives of these folks who have lost so much?

If you want to see some pictures of how it looks, I posted a few on my site. Here's the link:

I'd really appreciate any ideas - thanks so much.

Abby
