I made a wonderful vegetable barley soup for church supper tonight
It really rocked!! Everyone who tasted it said so.

But I still have tons left, because the other soup had meat in it. Chicken chili (what?!) over good veggie soup. I'll never understand people.

Oh well. More for me!!

1. I made @ 3 quarts of potato soup yesterday.
Planned to freeze some. My daughter and her boyfriend ate the whole damn pot. I think it was a hit. I guess I'll make a couple gallons next time. Maybe then I'll get more than a bowlful.

2. We had potato soup last week. I love a good potato soup.
So, I can understand the thinking of your daughter and her bf.

6. I never knew potato soup was so flexible.
She was reheating it with parmesan cheese mixed in and frying bacon to put on top. Brian just liked it with chopped parsley(the old fashion kind) and red pepper. Who knew? I thought it needed a little broccoli. Next time.

Even BAD veggie barley soup is pretty darn good and chicken chili is an abomination, IMHO.

4. Well, that's what I was thinking. Why would anyone choose chicken chili
over a good, hearty veg barley? I've never tasted chicken chili, but it doesn't even sound good to me.
