Upward spiral

Someone earlier mentioned that the lounge was on a downward spiral tonight.
OK this is personal.

My daughter turns 21 on Saturday and a few days later she's off to Jasper Alberta to work at a ritzy ski-resort.

My son -18 - has been accepted to a prestigious college here in Halifax Nova Scotia where I live.

I was separated from them 15 years ago but kept close to them always even though they were 230 miles away. I never gave up. We are all close.

on your children?

They were my life as infants.
Now they are grown up and coming to me.
All the pain was worth it.

I couldn't give up on mine, just like you didn't. Sadly many parents do though. :(

I'm so proud of my children and so glad I kept seeing them for 16 years.

I could write a book.

They were aged 2 and 5 when there mother left me.

Their mother aand I are now finally friends

My daughter is heading to Jasper to work during the ski-season (Mega Tips) and back here in the summer to Cape Breton - to party I suppose, then back here In Halifax in Sep. to work.

I'm Irish so she is too - I got her passpaort..It allows her to work in any of the 25 EU countries. So she's going next year. She turns 21 Saturday. Leaves for Calgary Wednesday. Doesn't know a soul there, but has accommodation on site in Jasper.


Son -18 is in Grade 12 and has been accepted to King's College Halifax.
Heavy duty school. So he'll be here too.
I'm 61, lonely, but content the way things are going
