I'm all for going to a points system - in fact, that's mostly what I've played with over the years.

15. The problem with fantasy sports

is you inevitably find yourself with the dilemma of pulling for some guy on your fantasy team to do well against your real-life ball club. Ain't no way I'm gonna put myself in the position of hoping somebody messes up the Dodgers.
