Some happy UK fans out there. Tubby Smith QUIT...headed to Minnesota
UK fans are wet dreaming to get Billy Donovan but that remains to be seen.

1. Hell with that. I know just the guy UK could use, if they'll read my leters:
Stan Van Gundy, former Heat coach.

To paraphrase a sportscaster, Pat Riley's not walking through that door. But, a former NBA coach with something prove(does this sound familiar to ANY other UK fans right about now?) could prove advantageous to both the style of play and the recruiting situation. And, we'd have the coach that looks most like Ron Jeremy.

...Tubby had his chance and he just didn't get the job done. Hell, J.B. Hall even won a championship. And he played the most boring brand of basketball ever in the history of man!

In his first or second year. . sheesh my memory is bad. . . I'll have to ask my Dad later. . .

In anycase, I wasn't a huge Tubby Fan, but I didn't hate the guy . . . just wait and see who we land as his replacement before I decide my feelings on this heh.

5. My problem was never with Tubby the coach...
...it was with Tubby the recruiter and talent scout. He won a Championship in his first year, but with players Pitino recruited. Once he got a group of his own, they never produced. Actually, I think Tubby was a fantastic coach, and the Duke in 1998 tourney proved as much. He just had no eye for talent.

Yes your right he used Pitino's recruit.. I was just worry my mind was playing tricks on me and he never did win a championship with U.K glad to see I was right after all.

...It's not even enough to win SEC titles. You've got to win Championships. Period.

8. Why such ridiculously inflated expectations?
It seems UK's fans are afflicted with the same absurd sense of entitlement as Ohio State football fans.
