A toast to my small mechanical victory!
:bounce:

...Using nothing but a meager understanding of the general concept, and a whole lotta pictures I found on the web, I, a complete mechanical idiot, successfully located the carburetor on my motorcycle, drained said carburetor, re-filled it with fresh gas, and thus solved the "dang bike won't start" issue to a resounding THRUMM-PUM-PUM-PUM-PUM (4-stroke)! :D

Now, of course, the weather is turning crappy. But for now, :toast: !!

What kind of bike do you have? I've been shopping around for months now and can't wait to turn my tax refund into two wheels. Just a couple weeks away...

I remember the feeling when I figured out how to change the oil on my '71 VW!

5. Way to go, Robb
Sometimes it goes well like this and I can do small repairs and I know how good it feels to be able to do this stuff and not have to pay a mechanic. Good on ya! :toast:

I tried to change my throttle position sensor the other day and try as I might I could not find a wrench small enough to loosen the second bolt. The first bolt broke off in the part. It was one of those times when it doesn't go so well, lol.

My fellow DU'ers can PM me if you have questions. If I can't answer them and help you I'll point you in the right direction. I ride back and forth to work and them some almost every day.
edit to add great job on getting the bike running. I'm having beer right now.

7. Great!
We'll look forward to having a local wrench on hand, should Skinner et al ever come through on the promised DU Motorcycles & Scooters Group (not that I've been reminding them, or anything)! :hi:
