All terrain vehicles: What do you think about them?
I'm just interested in everybody's opinion here.

2. I think they are too loud.

And I think children should not be riding them in the street or outside my window. Why do you ask?

3. They make unsightly ruts through the woods
that cause erosion. I haven't gone deer hunting for the last few years because of them, you find a nice stand and it never fails some fat-ass beer-gutted blowhard comes riding by just when the deer start to move.

4. Ban them. Snowmobiles and Jet Skis too. Except for professionals
who need them, like farmers, ski patrols, park rangers and lifeguards.

5. ATV's are not a good thing.
Most people need MORE exercise, that exercise can be had on a bicycle or on foot. There is very little effort required to ride on one.
Most people who buy them do not own land on which to ride. They use public land or neighboring property (often w/o permission). They tear up the land for no other reason than "entertainment". On the back roads of Tennessee you will often see them on the road illegally. People who own them yet have to place to ride often resort to the roadways.
They use a combustion motor polluting our atmosphere. That's my thought on the subject.

8. Used to have one - loved it.
Not the greatest in deep snow, though.
