But offer a suggestion or two to help someone frame their argument in a manner more conducive to conversation and debate, and the implication is that I'm either a gun-loving fascist or a gun-hating communist.

Haven't been there yet, but if it's a gun battle, I believe I would be out weapon-ed. I think it was my mother who told me never to take a knife to a gun battle. I still haven't got a gun, so my piddly little knife wouldn't be much protection. I hear they fire blazing fire bullets over in GD. I have gotten burned over there a lot, but cannot say for certain if there were bullets involved, because they wizzed past me so fast. Whew! Thanks for the warning.
