ITunes SNAFU
I have iTunes installed on my PC, have been using it for about a year...then I get the error message from Windows (or whatever) and it's all messed up.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and QuickTime, but the worst part is that I have no patience...all I know is it is effed up.

Can anyone help? I will read through the responses slowly, if there are any responses, and try to apply them. Argghhh!

1. Might help if you told us what exactly the error message said.

3. True
I can't remember what the first error message was, but by the time I gave up it was a message saying "send report" or "don't send."

I realize this is pretty much useless info. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling but nada.

4. A side note...
A saw Alexisonfire the other night... Holy shit.. One of the best shows I have ever seen. 1500 people were going crazy. I would suggest watching them if you have the chance. Simply amazing live.:P

5. I missed them two summers ago (courtesy of my dad's jackassery)...
But I think they're playing a music festival around here this summer. I have every intention to see them.

2. I'm on a Macintosh right now..
I think you want to go to My Documents/Music/iTunes.. Delete the file that ends in .xml.

You will need to re-import your music...You will lose all your settings, playcounts, ect.

I will not be held responsible if this fucks something up. You might want to wait for better advice.

6. I'm not sure what is happening
but I had a complete iTunes meltdown and it took a reinstall of Windows to fix it. The good thing is you do not lose any of your music as long as you have it backed up.

7. Here is something you can do
before deleting stuff and losing your music.

Ace Utilities: http://www.acelogix.com/

download that and run it, it has a fully functional 30 day trial.

if that doesnt help, get back with the error message if you can.
