3. 'Maude' was a spinoff of 'All in the Family'; from 1972.
It was very political, yet very sharp, very witty, and very funny... Maude was the liberal equivalent to Archie Bunker's conservativeness...

They don't make television like they used to, and re-watching season 7 of "The Golden Girls" it quickly becomes apparent why Bea Arthur left the show. The characters by then became pastiche parodies of their former selves...
