Beer bottle exploded in my basement

I finished off a keg on Thursday so I went to the basement to change the taps and found beer and broken glass all over the floor. It was a Grolsch style bottle with the ceramic swing cap that I had bottled back in October.
The only other time I had a bottle explode was when I made some root beer and let it carbonate too long. I have no idea why a beer bottle would explode after 5 months.

2. One is empty

another only has one pint left, maybe. The third is only half full of porter. The 4th has a barley wine that at 21%ABV you can only drink one pint at a time.

Wait a month and I'll have them all back on line.

5. at 21% ABV 1 pint = 4-5 pints of regular beer

Its really sweet tasting too. Like drinking a pint of sherry.
