I ran into an old high school teacher at lunch today...

I was out for lunch today with a friend and we spotted our old government teacher. He came over to our table and talked to us for a good half hour, we caught him up about what was going on in our lives and of course talked some politics. Which I'm sure made him proud because his main goal was to encourage his students to become active in the political process. I would say it was his class that made me the political person I am today, I was always interested in politics but I took it to another level after his class. He was an awesome teacher someone with real passion for his subject, it's just nice to run into someone who has made a difference in your life.

1. I ran into my high school history teacher in a grocery store

a few years back. It had been 20 years since I'd been in school - his was the only class I ever failed and I failed it twice. Part of it was because he was so boring and part of it was because it was my last class of the day both years and easy to skip. :blush:

So anyway, I was in line and here he came and he only had one item. So I told him he could go ahead of me. When he thanked me, I told him, "Well, I kind of feel like I owe you one. I failed your US History class twice."

He said, "NOBODY ever failed my class TWICE except ..... skygazer?"

It was very funny. Oddly enough, history is my favorite subject.
