I'll be doing it again tomorrow night. Don't tell a vegan he/she can't cook a mean steak.

Don't want to send him into pancreatitis (sp?) tonight. But, he's got MAD "cuts 'n gravy" in the fridge for breakfast, and I've got 3 more lbs to cook tomorrow night for him.

58. I'm not one to question a vet, so
His bone cancer was found in his problematic leg. They amputate then move to chemo.

Same question: why put in a stint after a heart attack, since "so and so" is just going to die anyway?

65. That's not what I meant.
I was just saying that if the dog has a limited amount of time, and he's going to go soon, why put him through extra pain? I was trying to be compassionate, and maybe I didn't choose my words correctly.

78. If you'll read down a bit...
I fully admit that I chose my words poorly. I was just inquiring about the vet's thought process. If he were offended after I clarified, I'd trust him to say something. Since he didn't, I'm assuming he doesn't automatically jump to being offended about stuff that wasn't intended to offend. I love dogs, and my heart truly goes out to the poor little guy. But you have pegged me as just the opposite, and I'm not going to try anymore to change your mind. I don't have the time or the energy.

I think I might have mentioned this book to you, but check out "Sight Hound" by Pam Houston if you haven't already. It's about her love affair with her Wolfhound (bone cancer) and how Dante (the hound) helps her in her life. Really neat book.

I'm not surprised, either, tbh. Stopping/curing cancer is not economically feasible, in my opinion. Docs/vets do the best with what they have.

You did, and I should thank you for that. I'm a couple chapters into it, based on what I do think was your suggestion. So, thanks!
