With all the recent crap that has been happening in the lounge, people are just blowing off a bit of steam... no one is hurting anybody... Pushing the envelope? Sure, but honestly these threads are so much more light hearted and fun than clans of people snipping at each other.

21. I hope not, I like the lounge. People are more likely to be open about themselves here.

I met a lot of great DU'ers in this section.

I'm not saying that there are not a lot of great Du'ers in other sections, but people seem to be more open about themselves in this section.

The other sections are great, there is no doubt about it.

There are peace activists like Ava who make their little flash videos.

Long discussions in threads about brad blog exposés.

Reality checks from people like Will Pitt.

People like kpete who post important articles of the day.

And people like H20 Man who analyze complicated issues for the sake of the rest of us.

I don't want to hurt anyone else's feelings by leaving them out, but California Peggy posts in the lounge a lot, and she is a great human being.

So, if a section like this has a person like her posting in it, I think it is worth it.

I wish I had thought of a place like DU, it's a great idea.

Life is short, so make the most of it.
