Who the hell looks good in pleat-front pants?
I'm doing homework on media research, so of course this is the kind of thing that keeps popping into my head.
:eyes:

Purge!
Purge!
:banghead:

1. Hey, now...those are part of my uniform...so naturally, I like to think I look fine in them
of course, I have the luxury of not having to look at myself (thank god!)

11. Pilot pants!
Why do all the airlines make their pilots wear pleat-front polyester pants (that get all shiny across the fly from the seat belt)?

3. I prefer to wear pleated pants...
when people stare to see which bulge is bigger and they do have to stare, the pleats help shroud the delicious details... :eyes: I'll have to take a pic in non-pleated pants and most would understand why.

Or maybe I won't.

5. My mom used to make me wear them because she thought they made me look thinner.
Which they didn't. I was a chubby kid. And I don't think she liked it.

10. OMG
I don't think HT has ever repied to me before!:bounce:

I meant people with NO weight on them whatsoever...OR with a body that lets them get away with it. I used to look good in them, but have sort of passed that place now. Sigh.

12. Tall thin people.
They hang well on thin people. I saw David Bowie in the 70's, post Ziggy. He came out in a 30's style tweed suit with pleat-front pants. He looked amazing. I fell in love for a few weeks.

13. Tall thin people, whom I hate with the intensity of a thousand suns,
look good in everything.

Some of the rest of us, however, look terrible in everything. It's just that pleat-front pants seem to make the bad look worse.

30. I'm tall and I love pleated pants
Plain front pants look like crap, IMO. Plus they feel much worse. I play golf all winter in pleated cordoruys and can't imagine wearing something else. They are loose enough to allow full body turn and I can throw an extra golf ball and plenty of tees in the pockets.

I bust up at all the "in fashion" and "out of fashion" paranoia.

If you have a tiny waist and nice hips, sure. If you're built more straight up and down, NO.

We refer to them as "Clown Pants".

Unfortunately, for the longest time, that was the only thing the Fashonistas allowed you to buy. GRRRRR

39. no one
no one looks good in front-pleated pants

however, every pair of pants should have at least one pocket, even if it's a little pound inside the waistband.

and pants should NEVER zip on the side.
