Who's flown Swiss airlines?
That's how I'm getting to London in June. Go from O'hare to Zuerich, from Zuerich to London.

3. It's probably cheaper.
Many European airlines offer much cheaper fares if you travel through their hub (and usually stay overnight). For example, Icelandair offers great deals between London and New York if you overnight in Rekjavik (which is worth doing...once).

5. Actually I'll only be in Zuerich for an hour and fifteen minutes.
End of Line.

8. Yeah, you don't always need to overnight to get a good deal.
Some airlines just want to pump up passenger numbers on their routes, so they make it very attractive to hub through their home country.

4. I guess that Swiss Airlines gave the university the best deal.
Could have been a bidding process, though, and they were the low bidder.

7. I didn't realize you doing
study abroad!

Now I understand -
My son has gone on some of the wildest airline routes to get all over Europe -- He studied abroad at least as much as he stayed in NY.

London is so wonderful _ YOU'RE GONNA LOVE IT.

11. Nope, SAS is Scandinavian Airlines.
Swiss International Airlines is the successor to Swissair, which went bankrupt a few years ago.
