My grass is turning green. The maples buds are bursting. Again, :wtf:

1. It'll be back down in a couple of days. Enjoy it. We'll all die one day anyway.
:(

2. You got that right.
We're breaking out the bbq tonight. Hope I don't get flamed for that.

5. Not unheard of.
My mother's birthday is this week, and she has said for years that sometimes she can golf on her birthday; other times, she shovels snow on her birthday.

8. I agree about the golf and the snowstorms
I've lived here all my life. I know that in the past few years people have golfed in March, hell, they've golfed in January. I also know that we could get a huge snowstorm next week. I've seen it before. April 14th 1983. About 13 inches with our next-door-neighber ready to have a baby. EVERYONE helped clean up the driveway that day. I just don't recall temps this high this early.

9. I do! It was 1986.
It was the day before my mother's birthday. I think the temperature was 81. My boyfriend and I went to Minnehaha Falls, Lake Harriet, and Lake Calhoun that day; there is a picture of us in front of Lake Harriet wearing shorts/bathing suits, and you can see the ice still in the middle of the lake!

7. Icefishing houses had to be off Mid-Feb in Central and South
and End of Feb in the North, state law.

Just blink and the weather will change. 2ft of snow to 80's in 3 weeks.

10. We had a strange weather day here, too.
Low 50's most of the morning with T-Storms. Then, all of a sudden, the temps shot up into the mid 70's after one of the T-storms passed.

Two weeks ago we had a 'cold day' (day when the temps are too cold for the kids to walk to school) -- today it's early spring in the morning and summer by early afternoon.

I just got home from work and the peepers are singing in the backyard.

:hi: Welcome to DU!
