Do yourself a favor and check it out. :applause:  The footage is just spectacular. It's unlike any nature documentary I've ever seen, that's for sure.

1. Do you know if/when they are rerunning it?
I got sucked into watching 87 consecutive episodes of House last night. :P

2. All I know is that it's an 11 hr series that started yesterday, 3/25
we have our tivo programmed to catch it all, but I don't know the specific details of the timing, sorry. I'd suggest checking your local listings. YOU'D definitely enjoy this series, XemaSab. It's great stuff!

:hi:

87 consecutive episodes of House?!? OMG. I've never watched that show before. I am, however, completely addicted to 24.

but the footage of the whale jumping out of the water to eat an entire seal was just incredible. Can't wait to see what's next!

13. Saw it again tonight on a regular Discovery channel
There is no comparison. It's like watching a different reality on HD.

10. Yep, BBC show, came out last year
Life on Earth by David Attenborough *Attenburgh?* was also excellent.

11. He originally narrated the series...
but the US version on Discovery Channel is narrated by Sigourney Weaver. It kind of annoys me when British documentaries are over-dubbed by an American as if American audiences are too dumb to understand someone speaking with an English accent.

15. That's why we're not watching
We made it through one episode. After seeing all of the Attenborough docs, her delivery is just wrong. So, in a month when the DVD version comes out, we're going to buy one with Sir David doing the narration.

And did you notice that none of the teasers or announcements note that it was originally produced by the BBC (and paid for by the British citizen). All you hear is "Discover Channel and Bank of America present . . ."

16. Attenborough is a wonderful narrator...
with an obvious passion for his subject so it just doesn't make sense why they wouldn't keep his original narration. I rather enjoy listening to him. I did notice that the Discovery Channel severely downplayed the BBC's involvement with the project, and without the BBC there wouldn't be any show. The only way you would know they had anything to do with it was a BBC logo at the end of the credits

18. There's a BBC logo that pops up occassionally. Yeah, Sigourney Weaver is
too cutesy in her delivery. It's been kind of annoying me. But the footage is incredible.
