Royal Caribbean cruise line is AWESOME...American Airlines SUCKS>>>NEEDS a passinger bill of rights!
WE were scheduled to fly out of Wichita Kansas Saturday 3/17 at 7 AM to go to St. Louis. Scheduled to catch a plane from St. Louis Missouri to Miami Florida to arrive in Florida at 2:40 Pm.

American Airlines with out notice or reason canceled our flight to St. Louis...put us on a greyhound bus to Dallas which broke down 10 times

We missed our boat thanks to American Airlines...they lost our luggage and when we finally found it...three bags were completely destroyed...

RCL had arranged to put us in the Airport Marriott in Miami and when we got there, they denied us a room (it was 2 AM) We stayed in a dump Sat night, got our luggage Sunday and Royal Caribben fixed it and we stayed in the marriott 2 more days, they then flew us to Jamaica and then we took a cab ride to the boat.

We missed 3 days of our 7 day cruise and RCL basically refunded 1/2 of our cost on the spot

American Airlines does to this day not even acknowledge that they caused us hardship...

THERE WAS NO BAD WEATHER ANYWERHE NEAR KANSAS OR MISSOURI

2. Damn!
I'm glad you got to enjoy the last 4 days of the cruise. I hope you get some free tickets out of American Airlines. But be warned, their vouchers always have a ton of black-out dates. You'll have a hard time using them. Still, it's better than nothing.

4. Funny you should bring this up now
I just posted on why I will NEVER EVER fly American again. A friend and I went to Aruba for a vacation and for one her cousins wedding. We booked on different internet sites but I made sure that we were on the same flight no's so it seemed okay. Journey down was fine. One layover in San Juan (we came from Baltimore) easily in and out. No problem. However on the trip back somehow we got shifted so that we both went from Aruba to San Juan together but after that my friend had a long layover in San Juan before flying direct to BWI. I however had a short stay in San Juan and then was shifted to Miami, then BWI. Now I knew this was going to happen when we got to the counter in Aruba. However they told me, you are on the same plane all the way up no problem. WRONG STUPID. Every leg was a new plane! In San Juan I had a little time to relax with my friend before going to the other side of the airport. I wasn't hungry and figured I would have plenty of time in Miami to eat so skipped a meal then. WRONG again. We got down in Miami late and I had about 20 fucking minutes between flights. And oh btw, my new plane was on the other fucking side of the airport. If you have been to Miami you know how big it is (I remember a sign at one point saying its a 15 minute walk from here to the terminal I needed.). I got there exhausted just as they were boarding. Final insult was my friend's plane from San Juan actually landed in Baltimore about 10 minutes before me when it was scheduled to be after me. It was an 11 hour journey. A direct trip should be about 5. My friend at least had a three hour layover in San Juan to relax. Oh and after a complaint about it they offered me a fifty dollar voucher. Yeah, jerks that really made up for that ordeal. Suffice it to say, that voucher is collecting dust. They did manage to get my luggage back okay which was a bit of a shocker. At least it was at the end of my vacation. Sorry these assholes had to mess up a good chunk of yours.

5. Midwest is the best airline
I have flown it twice in the last 3 months and have nothing but positive to say about the experience. They have wide seats, great service and a good record for being on time.

American messed up my friend's flight to Dallas last summer. She kept getting bumped and ended up sleeping at the airport and waiting 20 hours to get on a plane. And since they finally put her on a plane the day after her original flight was scheduled, they tried to make her pay a second time for the ticket.

Lessons learned - 1. Don't buy plane tickets online from one of those cheap air fare sites. 2. Don't fly American.

Glad you had at least a few days on your cruise. :)

6. thankfully we booked it ALL through Royal Caribbean and they helped us
American Airlines didnt' give a shit on anythign...acted liek we should have been thankful they got the greyhound bus.

I told them if I had wanted a bus, I would have fucking booked a bus.

If they had told us earlier, we would have rented a car one way and driven to St. Louis@@@
